President Greeting

A Message from the President
On September 3, 1949, Junior Chamber International Tokyo was established by youth volunteers with the belief that “Re-building a new Japan is a task for us, the youth.” Now in its 61st year, Junior Chamber International Tokyo continues to be an organization where youth with a sense of responsibility and passion gather under the common ideal of a bright, prosperous society.
Compared to the times when Junior Chamber International Tokyo was first established, Japan has truly become a materially rich and prosperous country. Yet looking around at the current environment in Japan, we find a mountain of issues awaiting us as the generation of leaders, ages 25 to 40. We as members recognize this responsibility and work together for a better society under the three principles of “service”, “training”, and “friendship”, actively undertaking volunteer activities and administrative reform.
It is our desire at Junior Chamber International Tokyo to touch and work with as many people as possible through these activities.
Takakazu Ando
61st President
Junior Chamber International Tokyo
